First LO for the OLW blog :)

I really want to scrap more so I decided to start on the OLW blog challenge. This week it was about the word: HOPE

Here's what I came up with:

The journaling reads:

Sometimes it’s hard especially in those dark days, but I want to keep HOPE. I want to find my peace... that the restlessness in me will dissapear. I want to be able to sleep at night
without the worry, I want to be able to live the days without the pain... I just want to enjoy life again.
But in those days HOPE is there; I know there will be a time that I’ll feel better, that I won’t feel so fragile anymore. HOPE makes me fight it and I know I’ll concer this with HOPE on my side...

Now I need to figure out how to upload to the SIS gallery 'cause I can't find teh upload button LOL

I am leaving ScrapArtist

There are rumors going around about my departure at ScrapArtist that are not true, and I want to straighten out some of the misconceptions.

Yes I am leaving ScrapArtist, that part of the story is true. Nancie got out new designer guidelines to make ScrapArtist a better place then it already is and I can see why she is making those changes and I admire here for continually working on making ScrapArtist better and better.

Unfortunately those guidelines don’t work for me as I also work outside home, I have 2 kids and some health issues with my neck and back. That’s why I felt I needed to step down and make room for someone else.

The new guidelines are the only reason why I am leaving ScrapArtist!!!!!!!! No, Nancie did not force me to leave, no she did not fire me. I - and only I -made the hard decision to leave!!

Nancie is one of the sweetest persons I have ever known and ScrapArtist is a fabulous site to be at. Even though I will take my designs somewhere else I’ll still keep visiting SA because it’s a fun site to be at!

I think very higly of Nancie and ScrapArtist.

These stories are really hurting me and Nancie and we want it to stop.

If you have any questions about my departure from ScrapArtist just drop me an email :)

Be on the look out for the announcement to where I'll go ;)

Time flies. Mitchell is already 2 weeks in school. The first week he had a hard time. He didn't want to go but the second week he already had much more fun.

Joey had his first morning at school. He was okay untill we walked to the school. He started crying and put his little hands before his eyes. He was like that for about 1/2 an hour and it broke my heart. He just kept asking if he could go home :( But his teacher did a very good thing: he read a little book about a pig who was sad because his dad had to leave him at school. This did the trick. halfway into the book he opened his eyes and started looking to the book. I could feel the tention lowering and I could start to relax a bit. When he found out he could play with dough at school it was all over. He was happy and was more than okay with me leaving. When I picked him up at the end of the morning they were palying outside and he looked so happy. He waved at me and I was so proud of him!
He will go again next Wednesday and he already looks forward to it!

Mitchell started his hobby club last Friday and really enjoyed himself. They can make whatever they want and Mitchell wanted to work with wood. He saw a little duck that he can paint next week. It's so nice to see him enjoying these things.
He also found a wounded dove today. We took it to the bird care centre and the bird will totally recover and the woman at the care centre was really proud of him to capture the dove. This is so good for his self confidence.

Tomorrow ScrapArtist will move over to another shopping cart. We have been very busy with moving our products over and I can't tell you how much work Dean,Patrick, Nancie and Isabelle have done behind the scenes and still doing of couurse. If you still have any downloads left for products or a GC please go and get it now!! We can't move over the downloads so this is your last day to do so!!

My Chirpy collab with Jackie Eckles is the featured product at The HUB this week. I am really proud of the layouts Kristen and Aja made:

School started; new start :)

After 6 great weeks with the boys Mitchell started school again. He was pretty nervous, couldn't sleep the night before and had trouble eating in the morning. But he did more then okay. He was very happy, had fun but also already had to do some difficult things. Tomorrow he'll have his first gym lessons so that will be fun.

Joey started his last month at pre-school as well. He had to cry for a sec, but did okay straight after. He'll turn 4 next month and here in Holland they start school again.

I made a LO about it:

Credits can be found here:
Credits LO 4 more weeks @ ScrapArtist

Journaling reads:

School starts again tomorrow for Joey's big brother Mitchell. In 4 weeks it's his turn to start school; because he will turn 4 then.

The change from pre-school to the ' big boys' school (as Joey says) will be hard for him. Joey is very over-responsive to changes, so having to deal with new kids, a new teacher, a new enviroment will be extremely hard for him. But I hope and think that once the worst is behind him he'll do more then okay and will have a lot of fun. We need to go through this tough period, I feel sad as well. I have to let go while I am not ready to, not yet.. But we both have to face our difficulties and we'll manage. I am right beside you sweetie on every step you have to take on this road.

Tomorrow is the start of another workweek. I am going to teach a beginners workshop this month and prepared the class today.
We're going to have some fabulous classes over at Scrappendoejezo.

Okay I am officially a bad blogger!

Okay I have to admit I am not the best blogger around LOL. For some reason I am always running out of time and the blog gets put down last on my list. There aren't enough hours in the day to accomplish all that I want to do. That makes me sad and restless. Setting priorities isn't my strongest point and I guess getting them straight and be more diciplined should help me. Itr's a goal I am working towards...

I got a new collection out this weekend at ScrapArtist called Simple Moments:

And I even made a LO with it ;)

Journaling reads:

When we visited Disneyland resort Paris Mitchell found himself a new friend: Stitch. He watches Lilo and Stitch every morning with Joey and when he saw Stitch the doll in the shoppe he got all excited! He hasn't left his all favorite cuddle Isa, but where-ever we go and if he's allowed to take them with him both Isa and Stitch go with him.
Highlight of the day was when Stitch was on a car in the parade and noticed Mitchell. He pointed at him and made some ' jokes' with him. Mitchell was so proud and nothing could spoil his day anymore

except for:
heart: my Embrace kit
Cardboard tear: Linda GB

Both available at ScrapArtist :)

And last but not least I finished the layout I needed to make for a swap at work; here's the result:

Back :)

Wow, it'a already been a week since we returned from Disney Land Resort Paris. We had an amzing time. We arrived on Saturday and on Sunday we went to the Eifel Tower and had a boat trip. We went by metro and the boys loved it! Joey was a bit scared of the sounds in the beginning but he got used to it very quick. The only down thing on the day was that it was raining and on teh way back to the hotel Joey's stroller broke so he had to walk the whole way back. But he was a big boy and didn't complain that much.
Due to teh rain we stayed in the city on Monday morning to go to the Sacre Coeur. It was beautiful and even the boys were intimidated by its beauty. On the way back to the hotel they both got a nice Paris t-shirt from my parents so they were happy :)

In the afternoon we went to DisneyLand and boy did we have an amzing time. It was so sweet to see Joey and Mitchell really enjoying themselves, and Joey was so much more aware of things that last year. They really relaxed and it was so nice to be able to spend all my time with them!
They have seen all there favorite Disney figures, gotten their autographs. The weather was really nice, even hot on Thursday ( I even got sunburned)

Today is the last day to pick up the Inner Strenght kit at scrapArtist and be on the look out for next month kit! It's simply amazing!
I am working on a new paper set, hope to get it finished this weekend!

Ready to go to DisneyLand Resort Paris!

We're all packed and ready to go to DisneyLand Paris. Me, my parents and the boys will go there tomorrow morning. Hans unfortunately will stay home because he couldn't get time off work :(
We will leave tomorrow morning and on saturday we will drive to Paris and sleep there 2 nights. On Sunday we will visit Paris The City and on Monday we will head to the Disney Parc! I am not sure if I'll have an internet connection. But if so I'll try and update my blog with stories and photo's. If not you'll have to wait untill we are back again!

I uploaded my Embrace element pack to the FTP last night so I hope it will be in the store soon; so keep checking!

About time to get serious with my blog!

I think it's really about time I get this blog up and running! So many changes.. and I just don't know where to start!

Well since the beginning of May my big dream came true and that was the opportunity to sell my digital goodies at ScrapArtist. This site has been my home for 2 years now ( since the beginning of the site) so I feel so horoured that they invited me to be part of the Design Team :)
At about the same time Lauren Reid and the girls from Weeds and WildFlowers started so I am in good company!
I am also the Guest/Spotlight designer this month and together with Lisa Whitley, Robyn England, Nancie and Sara Carling we made the kit. It turned out so beautiful!
